9 June 2022
The International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI) is the proud supporter of the First Edition of the Italian Arbitration Day (IAD) to take place on June 9, 2022 in Rome.
Co-organised by the Italian Association for Arbitration (AIA) and the Milan Chamber of Arbitration (CAM), and supported by a number of national and international organisations across the Globe, the Italian Arbitration Day will be welcoming speakers (Yas Banifatemi, Massimo Benedettelli, George Bermann, Sébastien Besson, Franco Ferrari, Carole Malinvaud, Pierre Tercier, Mélanie van Leeuwen and Anne Marie Whitesell) in four sessions moderated by Michelangelo Cicogna, Luigi Fumagalli, Loretta Malintoppi and Paolo Marzolini, on the theme of “Reform of the Italian Arbitration Law: An International Perspective”.
Meant to become an annual event, to be organised in Rome and Milan in alternating years, the IAD will be a truly international event involving practitioners and academics from numerous jurisdictions and legal cultures, who, after more than two years of social distancing, will gather in Rome to reconnect, listen to eminent speakers and participate in a lively debate at a time when Italian arbitration law is being reformed and modernised.
The event aims at highlighting the qualities and appeal of Italy as a seat for international arbitration proceedings, home to a talented and dynamic arbitration community. The Programme can be found here, and registration, be subscribed here
